I an’t help but to feel helpfless because I’m not there to hold them and take some of the weight off them with all the decisions that need to be made. They are so hurt and angry. My daughter struggles with the thought of being a single parent, being able to provide for her son yet still be a solid presence for him. This is yet another moment in her life where she needs me and I’m not there with her. I call every day and let her vent all her feeling, offering what I can to support her and letting her know she will get through this. I truly admire her for the strength she has.”
