Artist Statement: "The topic of this contest is 'Defiance'; this piece may not seem defiant one bit until you discover how those beautiful flowers are made by putting paint on my breasts and then pressing them onto the paper. This was my first time ever using this method. I came about using this method by accident. I was attempting to make something and couldn't figure out a way to accomplish it so I started trying different parts of myself. I live off of very little while incarcerated and do not often have the right brush for the desired effects."
